Homeostatic Facade System

The Homeostatic Facade System proposes a ribbon of artificial muscles that open and close to control solar heat gain through a building's exterior facade. The system would advance double-skin glass facade technologies by taking advantage of the unique flexibility and low power consumption of dielectric elastomers.
