University of Toronto Announces Lecture Series
Left: The Daniels Public Lectures kick off September 27 with "Out of Practice," by Gregg Pasquarelli of SHoP Architects. Right: The Daniels Student Exhibition, Here Be Monsters, runs through November 26. The John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto has announced its 2011-2012 Public Lecture Series, featuring international experts and visionaries in the fields of architecture, design and sustainable urbanization. Representing the most forward-thinking design firms and research institutions from around the world, each speaker in this year’s series is redefining practice surrounding construction, technology, culture and the city.
These lectures are part of a broader stream of talks, exhibitions and symposia that Daniels has planned for the academic year, and are part of a program being advanced by Dean and Professor of Architecture & Urbanism
Richard Sommer to further discourse on how to better design and inhabit the built environment.
All lectures begin at 6:30 pm. They are free and open to the public at 230 College Street, Room 103, University of Toronto.
