The Design School at Arizona State University will host its annual Transdisciplinary Design Symposium on March 7, addressing the question "How Public Is the Good?"
The symposium will explore the definitions and operations of public good in design. Which concept comes first, Public, Good or Design? How should these be prioritized? International and national speakers will represent all the disciplines at The Design School: architecture, industrial design, interior design, landscape architecture and visual communication.
The symposium is free and open to the public.

Presenters include Darren Petrucci, director of The Design School; Felipe Leal, Minister of Urban Development and Housing, Mexico City; Felipe Mesa, studio "planb arquitectura," Medellin, Colombia; John Peterson, Public Architecture, San Francisco; Ann-Marie Conrado, University of Notre Dame; Brian Dougherty, Celery Design Collaborative, San Francisco; and a round table moderated by Jason Griffiths of The Design School.
